2 Nature of Business
AideFin is a Zambian Company with an international reach, established with two distinct departments i.e. Mining Supplies and Financial Services.
The first department, currently operational is the Mining Supply department. This department focuses on the sourcing and delivery of mining supplies primarily to the Mining Sector but generally to any client requiring these services.
The second Department will become operational at a later stage and will focus on the provision of Venture Capital to small business and entrepreneurs.
3 Vision
AideFin intends to leverage its three offices in Zambia, Johannesburg & St Louis MO USA to become the prime service provider of mining supplies, parts and equipment to the Zambia Mining Industry. AideFin intends to achieve this at competitive prices. The Company will further utilise its ability to finance orders to expedite the supply process.
On the finance side, AideFin will fill the gap of Venture Capital to small entrepreneurs generally not serviced by mainline banks. In this way AideFin will assist build a culture of entrepreneurship in the country.
4 Mission
AideFin expects to be recognised as an established service provider in its field by the year 2013 and be a leader in the same field by 2018.
5 Objectives
To establish a fully-fledged business with an equipped and fully functional business premises in Lusaka by August 2009 and expand to the Copperbelt by August 2011. At the same time to establish a portfolio of no less than 10 established beneficiary businesses.
6 Management
Management is divided into different levels and managed by AideFin personnel as indicated below:
6.1 OVERALL MANAGEMENT: This aspect of the company is led by Laurence Chibwe who is the Managing Director of AideFin (Pty) Ltd.
Laurence Chibwe holds a Bachelor’s (from CBU) and Masters degrees (from KUL) and has 18 years experience in top-level management.
His typical duties include generating policies in consultation with the rest of the management team, which the company will follow to ensure success in its objectives. Florence Chibwe, the Manager of the Lusaka Office and one of the Company Directors, handles the day-to-day management of the business
Florence Chibwe holds a Bachelor’s Degree (from UNZA) and a Diploma in Mathematics. She further has 13 years management experience and is also Managing Director of the International Teaching College in Kafue.
6.2 FINANCE: Laurence Chibwe supported by Florence Chibwe handles this aspect of the company.
6.3 MARKETING: This aspect of the company is headed by Ms Nnema Mulaisho who has 15 years experience in this field. Ms Mulaisho is also one of the Directors of AideFin and holds a Diploma in Public Relations and Marketing.
6.4 ACCOUNTS: a private Accounting Practice on an outsourced basis handles this aspect of the company.
